MP3 or M4A. Which should I choose?
MP3 is widely compatible with players, car stereos and editing tools. M4A uses the AAC codec, an efficient format supported by modern phones and computers. Both are good everyday choices.
Does a higher bitrate improve the original sound?
A higher bitrate can preserve more detail during conversion, but it also creates a larger file. It cannot restore quality that is missing from your source. 192 kbps is a balanced starting point.
Can I use VideoTone on my phone?
Yes. Open this website in your mobile browser, choose a video from your files or photo library, and download the audio. Keep this page open during conversion. No app installation is needed.
What happens if my video has no sound?
We check every upload for an audio track. If there is no audio, we will let you know and delete the upload. A silent video cannot be turned into an audio recording.
